Roman Wing
The Roman Wing lends it name from the heart of the wing: a beautiful and relaxing wellness centre. And the discovery made by archaeologists from Utrecht on this spot: a Roman burial site (40-70 AD), which is the likely burial site for those who built the Utrecht castellum.
The 30 new rooms of Grand Hotel Karel V are best described as a combination of a touch of Roman history with 100% contemporary style and luxury. A number of remnants from Utrecht during Roman times are on display in the hotel for guests and other visitors to admire, including a number of archaeological finds.

Executive rooms (26 - 29 m2)

Thanks to the room’s peaceful atmosphere and decoration, you are assured of a good night’s sleep. Have you still got work to do? Your room features an extra-large desk where you can work in peace.
Deluxe rooms (29 - 37 m2)
Do you really enjoy a fine view? In that case, the Deluxe Room may be just the thing for you. Here you can look out over our lovely court garden or take in a unique view of Utrecht’s mediaeval Dom Tower. The room’s attractive setting will ensure that you can fully settle down. Several of these spacious Deluxe Rooms feature a unique second floor with a desk area and an extra flat-screen television.
Executive suites (52.50 - 64 m2)
An extensively furnished and comfortable suite with a contemporary atmosphere. The suite features a separate sitting area, a work area with a desk and a conference table. Ideal for a stay of several days and exceptionally suited for use as a temporary office or a small meeting room.
